Great rental, excellent condition; I assumed the beach club had a big pool; it's a nice place to eat and a beach area. The community pool is nice, but small and no energy. Cannot use the Hotel Mauna Lani pool. Loved the experience though!
This was our second multi week stay at Golf Villas and we will go back. The condo is everything we could ask for (except it is not on the beach). There is an excellent pool and a decent exercise room on the property. We had sun more than we ever had when we stayed in Kona.
Had a great time in unit L3...very nice condo, close to pool. Beach access was right down the street. Loved that condo had all kinds of extras (beach chairs, umbrella, toys, boogie boards, and even snorkle gear). Would definitely love to go back again!! Thanks
Lovely property in a lovely location. We had a great two weeks in the golf villa. The area around the lanai grill had not been cleaned before our arrival and the mid stay house cleaning never occurred. A phone call resulted in prompt cleaning of the BBQ. A refund was offered for the house cleaning fee. We would not hesitate to return.
Beautiful house! We really enjoyed our stay here. There's a saltwater pool and fitness center close to the unit. Also, the location of the house is just minutes away from the beach club. The unit was clean, very well furnished, and spacious. The beds were comfortable. Markets, shopping and other hotels were within very close driving distance.
We stayed 15 days. Great vacation - great rental - we will be back.
Great stay! Very spacious and comfortable. Property Mgr. was very nice. Kitchen nicely stocked with all utensils and dinnerware. Upon arrival, the unit was very clean but linens did not smell very clean so we re-washed the sheets and pillow cases. However, the floors & all else were very clean. Very close to the supermarket which is very reasonably priced and convenient. Waikoloa is only 5 minutes away with a few open shopping areas and several nice restaurants. All together a great experience and wonderful value. We'll be back!!!
We loved the unit. Nothing bad to say about the experience we had at the Mauna Lani Golf Villas Unit L3. The rental company was extremely helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
The pool was so close and perfect for kids. The beach club offered the best snorkling around while the food at the club house was devine.
The condo is beautiful, well decorated, and a pleasure to reside in. The property is lovely, great pool, and we had a fun excursion to the Mauna Lani private beach one day too. Great kitchen to cook in, although nearby supermarkets are limited to expensive shopping plaza markets, look for farmers markets or shopping closer to Kona if possible. Location is near but not AT the best beaches, and while not IN Waikoloa, its really the only non-residential development nearby. Would love to return again and again. Jonathan is a pleasure to work with too. Highly recommended :)
The unit was very new, well built and clean. This was our 3rd trip to the area in 6 years. The pluses: The dedicated grill on the lanai was a winner. The kitchen and other areas were well equipped. Most everything was above average including the nine foot ceilings. The minuses: few, the drive is a bit long from the main road to the unit. The master bedroom mattress is medium to low quality. Overall, this unit rated much higher than the Waikiloa golf villas and Hali Kai units we stayed at previously. The weather was outstanding every day and the only complaint is that the VOG (volcanic smog) was much worse than on previous visits. Waves at Hapuna were 4 - 5 feet most days with some 6 - 8 foot faces. This was much bigger surf than on previous visits. Good for bodyboarding, but watch the quick breaks. The golf courses on site have the best greens on the island in my opinion. Unit is very close to golf clubhouse, rounds are slow however. If I were to rent a unit like this I would buy sleep number mattress at least for the master room. Another way for the owner to make some money would be to figure out how to stick an SUV into the garage and rent it. The auto rental companies are getting out of control. If we ever do a long stay again I am seriously considering buying a beater and dumping it at the end of the stay.
We fell in love with this gorgeous Golf villa. It was so perfectly comfortable, relaxing and luxurious. We enjoyed watching the morning sunrises from the patio and the shade of the palm trees at the beach club. We can hardly wait to return.
Thisw was our first visit to the Big Island. We (2 couples) stayed at the Mauna Lani for 13 nights. The condo was spacious and beautifully decorated and furnished. It had a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. It was a safe place to stay and the private beach club was beautiful and great for snorkelling. My husband is a diver and appreciated the convenience of the Dive Shop located on the property. The only drawbacks were that there was no ocean view from the condo (which we knew before we went) and the location of the resort is a bit of a drive from the town (1/2 hour). It is probably the nicest place we have styed at...definitely a 5 star! Jonathan was very helpful and always responded quickly when we contacted him. We would highly recommend this resort.
Our stay at the golf villa was fabulous. There was plenty of room for us to relax and unwind and having our own bathrooms was a real treat. The villa is furnished and decorated with fun island themes but also with quality and elegance. We loved having the grill kitchen area on the lanai. We sat out on the lanai every morning and most evenings. It is a short 10 min drive away to 2 awesome beaches and less than 5 min away from a Foodland grocery store. Foodland has some great food in their deli and their poke is delicious. None of us were golfers but the golf course looks great. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa that is well kept inside as well as outside. The Big Island is incredible as well and I would love to come back and stay here again.
There was nothing not to like about our stay at Golf Villa L3. From our first contact with Jonathan H., we were treated very well, our questions were answered promptly and professionally. The unit was very well appointed, clean and very suitable for our group of six. We like walking and found that although a short driving distance, we could walk to other places at Mauna Lani and to Waikoloa Resort.
Mike and I had a wonderful time and this property was a big part of the experience. The pictures on the website were a true protrayal of the condo. Fabulous. Easy to move into and very difficult to have to pack up and leave! The view of the golf course was great. Ammenities were great. The only thing that could have made it better would have been better beach access.
Nice Unit, family of 4 spent a week in late August. We had a small problem with AC not cooling the unit down and the property manager dilegently worked to get a repair person to the unit in a timely manor. You will need to purchase basic stocks like ziplock bags and paper plates, (the unit has a nice set of real plates) but overall a very good experience.
of the mountains and golf course. I would stay here again.
