The only issue was having to walk around the golf course to get to Whaler's shopping mall.
The unit was very well appointed, decorated tastefully and beautifully, and wonderfully equipped.
Aloha Luxury Properties’ Kaanapali Royal (A301) was a great experience. The unit really is a luxury experience with nice art, great granite kitchen and appliances and fine details all around. We spent many relaxing evenings on the balcony making BBQ on the outdoor grill and enjoying the view. The unit is not directly on the beach but is walkable to both beaches and a very pleasant mall (/) in 15 or so minutes. It is a more peaceful experience than being in the beach-front hotels which are much more crowded. It also gives you the choice to cook for yourself in the well appointed kitchen or to eat out. The unit is also near grocery markets, pharmacy and various shopping areas other like Lahaina. Aside from the unit itself, the Aloha Luxury Properties team is top notch. They embody the very essence of customer service which has become so rare these days. It was a pleasure dealing with them from booking to departure. We whole heartedly recommend Aloha Luxury Properties as well as the Kaanapali Royal property.
We just returned from our 4th visit to Maui, and this was the first time we had stayed at the Kaanapali Royal. We had previously stayed at oceanfront condos on the North side of Black Rock, and 2 years at The Whaler, since we wanted to be close to Kaanapali Beach. Overall this condo was the nicest, largest, and best value condo we have stayed in. First, the unit is very nicely furnished, ceramic tiles, granite countertop and tons of room for our family of 5 with 3 teenage girls. The view from the Lanai was over the 16th hole golf course and best of all, was less than a 10 minute stroll to Black Rock. We used the condo as our "home base" to travel around the island visiting Lahaina, Napili, and Wailea each several times so the location was great. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed to make our breakfasts and lunches in the condo, and close enough for an easy drive, or short 5 minute walk to the restaurants at Whalers Village for dinner. Perfect. The condo is not "right on the beach", but for us, the extra room and quality of condo far exceeded the other condos at other locations we have stayed in before. I would not hesitate to recommend Kaanapali Royal to anyone. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for helping make an outstanding vacation.

need. Having the bbq on the huge lanai was great. Great view from the lanai, the guys loved the fact that we were on the 16th hole at the golf course. Bedrooms were very comfortable, spacious, and private with ensuites in both bedrooms. The kitchen was large and well appointed. All of us agreed that it felt like home. We appreciated that there were beach chairs supplied, saved us buying them at Costco like we usually do. We would absolutely stay again and would highly recommend to everyone. This was an absolutely AMAZING stay!!! The entire experience from beginning to end was remarkable. Everyone involved in the reservation process was very helpful & accommodating. From the moment we stepped foot inside the property we were left speechless with it's beauty! It truly was a luxury stay with a great location. After having stayed at this condo & being spoiled with such wonderful ammenities I can't see myself staying anywhere else. We had such a great time that from the moment we had to leave we started planning our next trip & we'll definitely be reserving the same property.
The property at Kaanapali Royal was a slice of heaven. Our stay was for 2 weeks & the condo was so peaceful & private, it was just what we were looking for. The unit has been upgraded & it is just as it is shown in the photos. The amenities are upgraded & nice quality furnishings made our visit feel just like home. The overall property is great, right on the golf course with beautiful landscaping & well maintained. There are tennis courts (lighted), a basketball hoop and of course a great swimming pool and hot tub. Whalers Village & all the resorts in Kaanapali are all within walking distance & very accessible. The condo itself had supplies to use, wooden hangers with hotel robes in the closets, pool towels, full size washer & dryer, full kitchen, gas grill & patio furniture, flat screen tv's with cable and secured wireless internet access. There was even a closet that had beach gear to use during the stay which was a total bonus for us. I would have given the unit all "5's" but as stated in other reviews there are stains in the carpet & the cushions @ the dining table that make it feel "not so clean" for as nice as it is which is really unfortunate. BUT if you see that it is all light colors - it is really hard to keep that clean unless people treat it as if it were just like there home (which as we know is not always the case). I would also say that the gas grill igniter is not working so it was not easy to light the grill but I used the grills at the pool which were great & my family really enjoyed eating poolside so it was even more enjoyable for us. So, overall we LOVED - LOVED - LOVED this condo & hope to visit again soon ~ Thank You Aloha Luxury!!!
As soon as we walked in the condo we knew we had made the right decision, the location was great, 200 m directly across from Whalers Village and the beach. The unit itself was tastefully furnished and had absolutely everything we needed. The Kaanapali Royal complex is secure and has great facilities. We played tennis most days and the courts had lighting so we were able to play in the evening. We will definitely be returning to Maui soon and would have no hesitation in booking with Aloha Luxury Properties.
Having owned a vacation condo that we rented, the only thing I could suggest would be to have extra sheets left in the condo for the additional beds, fans for air movement, and the possibility of verticals or sheers on the great room window for anyone who is sleeping in that room. Jonathan and the other people with Aloha were very helpful with the A/C problem we had....the sheets & the fans. We did notice the carpet needed to be cleaned....the vacuum suction is very poor so that may be one problem. The condo was decorated and refurbished very nicely. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay. We'll be back.
this unit is mush higher end than the first unit we stayed in we go once a year as a family of 5 the kids ages are 9, 14 &18 and their is something for everyone within walking distance 18 days was not enough time to do it all a.l.p. staff were outstanding all questions & needs were taken care of quickley & professionaly there was a tsunami warning on our 2nd to last day we got a call from the owners office making sure we were ok & and gave us instructions to be prepared the staff went above and beyond in our oppinion we are already making plans for another 3-4 week stay for next year the unit was clean & spacious stocked with things like coffee spices foodwrap etc extra linins this you wont find in a hotel it truley feeles like your own home just on maui
We stayed here for 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The room was great and the location was perfect.
Jonathan and his coworkers were wonderful to deal with as they went above and beyond in the services provided, were welcoming and made our holiday very enjoyable. We had a great stay at the condo. We had a lot of fun and everything was very convenient. The place was very clean - like the corners were clean if you know what I mean. They put a lot of energy into keeping the place spotless. That meant a lot to us. The location was close to a nice ocean side open air mall, other high-end hotels and convenient to beaches. Parking was also available close to the front door. Definitely recommended for a relaxing stay in Maui.
We enjoyed our stay so very much! The condo was beautiful and everything we wanted. It was so clean and we loved how inviting it was when we arrived - lights on, hawaiian music playing and fresh flowers on the table. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. We most definitely will return!
We will definitely be returning for a longer stay. This is a third floor unit and is located at the end of the building. It is quiet and private and we enjoyed the large deck and new BBQ grill. Pool area is nice and parking was easy. Unit is very spacious and it really does look exactly like the pictures. A couple minor flaws to note - lighting in the living room at night is not adequate for reading and the water heater makes unusual noises that take some getting used to. That said, we really enjoyed our stay (which was much to short) and plan to return.

I've told Jonathan that we were SO impressed with our stay at Kaanapali Royale. This was our best experience! It was so impressive how there was attention to every detail. Our celebration with our sons for our 35th anniversary could not have been more memorable, and much had to do with our VERY comfortable accomodations. Thank you! We'll be back :)
Great place to stay. Although the pictures on the website are acceptable, they don't do the unit justice. The apartment was spotless. The few downsides were that the walk to the beach was tough if carrying lots of gear although you can cut the time in half if you cut through the golf course. The sharp knives could be replaced and we did find a couple bugs. Overall, the place was great and truly allowed us flexibility on our trip. Highly recommend!
we really enjoyed our stay at Royal Kanapali unit 301, very clean and very spacious! No regrets in staying in this property, and would love to come to Maui and stay here again!

Able to walk to the beach and shopping which was a plus. Helpful staff and always called you back. Like being on the third floor and having the 2nd bedroom on a different level. Well appointed and in good shape. Nice pool area close by with plenty of seating. Only drawback was having the golf range next to us with the netting within close view.
The Kaanapali Royal location was a great location for our first visit to Maui. This was not a family vacation but two couples on anniversary getaways. I mention that as I might have a different opinion had my young children been with us on the trip. Being so close in proximity to beach activities (Black Rock, paddle boards, sun, sand etc..) and shopping/dinning (Whalers Village, Lahina's Front Street) was key. I had heard that Southern Maui had more to offer but after seven days we had only begun to explore all there was to do in western Maui. If I were to return with younger children I'd prefer a ground level condo but this location was a great place to recharge mid day or relax at the end of a busy day. I found it very clean, quiet and roomy. My initial experience with the rental management was great. They were great communicators by phone and e-mail up the the point we landed in Maui. Once on the ground my calls to the rental management went unanswered. I did get delayed return calls that went to voice mail. When I asked what the code to the safe was the response left on voice mail was "I don't know, the prior guest should have left it open". I also had a pressing matter that needed a quick resolution requiring an internet connection. Of course I misplaced my print out with the pass code information on it as soon as we arrived. And again I was unable to get an phone call answered. I did get the information on a voice mail later but it was to delayed to be any help. I would use these guy's again and my over all opinion of the over all value is very favorable.
My family and I stayed at the Kaanapali Royal and absolutely loved it. The unit was remodeled, clean and loved that we had a one room upstairs. We traveled with our 2 year old boy and the location was excellent -- quick walk to the beach and Whalers Village, nice big lawn for him to run around and the pool was nicely kept. I would highly recommond this unit to anyone traveling to Kaanapali. We hope to be back in the near future.
It is always a shoot...whether or not a place will turn out the same as it looks on line. We were a little nervous but, were pleasantly surprised that this place was exactly as it was billed. No Tacky floral stylings (this was good). Very spacious. Would be perfect for a family or two couples. Manager/Owner was very friendly and helpful. Free phone was a nice perc. We would definitely recomend this to friends and family.
